About the role
Alfanar Projects is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive business development for testing, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and engineering services across substations and industrial plants. The role blends technical expertise with sales acumen to deliver solutions that minimise unplanned shutdowns and downtime for clients in power, petrochemical, oil & gas, water, steel, cement, and commercial sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop opportunities in substation testing, urgent repair, and maintenance across multiple industry sectors.
- Promote Alfanar’s capability to reduce downtime through world‑class engineering support.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business.
- Conduct technical presentations, site visits and propose tailored solutions, including motor rewinds and specialised electrical services.
- Prepare pre‑qualification documents, vendor registrations and technical submittals.
- Review RFQs, tenders and specifications; coordinate with tendering, operations and engineering teams to submit competitive proposals.
- Negotiate terms, follow up on proposals and close profitable contracts.
- Maintain the sales pipeline, provide forecasts and market intelligence.
- Attend industry exhibitions and networking events to expand business reach.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–8 years of sales or business development experience in electrical engineering services, preferably substation testing and commissioning.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical proposals and negotiate contracts.
