Sales Executive - Data Centers

About the role

Data Center Sales Executive required by our global, multi‑award‑winning consultancy client. The role is a subject‑matter‑expert, quota‑bearing sales position focused on landing and converting qualified leads identified by the Client Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain domain and industry expertise in data‑center technology and solutions.
• Support closure of data‑center sales using technology knowledge and address conceptual challenges.
• Engage clients to uncover business goals and articulate tailored solutions rather than product lists.
• Prepare and conduct client workshops, presentations and build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Identify and act on new sales opportunities within accounts and drive them to closure.
• Pursue qualified leads generated by client managers and other sources.
• Develop and maintain clear account plans and opportunity plans, tracking progress and risks.
• Partner with internal teams and technology vendors to ensure solution alignment and proposal management.

Required profile

• Proven success achieving and exceeding sales and financial targets in a major IT consultancy or systems integrator.
• Experience selling complex data‑center technology solutions and services to senior‑level clients.
• Strong ability to build relationships up to senior leadership and deliver engaging sales presentations.
• Demonstrated solution‑based selling with a track record of over‑achievement.
• Knowledge of competitors and ability to apply successful sales strategies.
• Client‑centric approach with strong negotiation skills and flexibility for short‑term missions.
• Ability to maintain accurate sales forecasts, close plans and manage risk.
• Experience networking with senior internal and external experts in the specialist area.
