Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead Al Fajr Maritime Services’ commercial activities in Jeddah, driving revenue and gross‑profit growth for the company’s multi‑modal logistics solutions. Reporting to senior management, the role combines sales execution, portfolio development and team coaching to meet the company’s commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the annual sales plan and gross‑profit (GP) targets.
• Allocate individual targets, own forecast accuracy and conduct regular pipeline reviews.
• Identify, qualify and close new business from assigned and self‑sourced leads.
• Advise clients on complex logistics solutions, transport modes, routing options and value‑added services.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of high‑value customers, driving retention, shipment volume and cross‑selling.
• Coach and mentor sales team members through deal reviews, field support and performance feedback.
• Direct prospecting efforts toward highest‑value opportunities and monitor KPI performance.
• Oversee pricing, negotiation and tender processes, ensuring commercial soundness and compliance.
• Review customer credit requirements, set appropriate terms and monitor accounts receivable.
• Resolve operational escalations and ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capacity.
• Enforce commercial policies, pricing governance, CRM discipline and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Proven ability to achieve individual and team GP and margin targets.
• Experience leading and developing sales teams in a logistics or transportation environment.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑modal logistics, transport modes and routing options.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to balance profitability, operational feasibility and compliance.
• Excellent coaching, mentoring and performance‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse market trends and competitive landscape.
