Salesforce Functional Lead

About the role

Horizontal Digital is looking for a Salesforce Functional Lead based in Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to shape and lead the functional design of a large-scale Salesforce programme for a major enterprise client. The role requires leading cross-functional teams, partnering with other project leads and managing stakeholders at all levels, and involves both delivering the agreed solution and advocating for the next steps.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engagement on scope, deliverables, budget, client satisfaction, business outcomes and team engagement, acting as a trusted advisor and building strategic client relationships.
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements and align platform capabilities with business goals.
• Work with project managers, designers, developers, architects and business experts to deliver digital solutions, and contribute to roadmaps, MVP definition, feature prioritisation, requirements documentation, UX recommendations and agile reviews.
• Plan and run discovery workshops, current-state analysis, UAT and user training, and write user stories and epics in Jira.
• Mentor associate delivery team members, explain the Salesforce practice, and contribute to practice thought leadership.
• Keep Salesforce certifications current and stay up to date with the Salesforce ecosystem.

Required profile

• 8+ years of client-facing consulting or professional services experience.
• 6+ years designing and implementing Salesforce solutions.
• In-depth experience of end-to-end digital experience design and development, with hands-on system configuration.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to explain scope, milestones, risk mitigation and outcomes to executives and day-to-day contacts.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Riyadh or Jeddah.
• Nice to have: Arabic, background in travel, aviation or hospitality, previous delivery experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC, bachelor's degree.
