Satellite NOC & SOC Assistant Manager

About the role

The Satellite NOC & SOC Assistant Manager is responsible for governing and monitoring end‑to‑end GEO, MEO and LEO satellite services to ensure availability, reliability and operational continuity across space, ground and customer domains. The role leads incident, problem and change management while coordinating with service providers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish 24/7 end‑to‑end monitoring of satellite services, including space segment, ground segment, gateways, user terminals and links.
• Operate fault‑management platforms to detect, prioritize and escalate service‑affecting alarms.
• Lead major incident management, coordinating restoration across partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct technical investigations and root‑cause analysis for outages or degradations.
• Govern change management with risk assessments, implementation reviews and post‑change validation.
• Perform preventive maintenance through baseline health checks.
• Audit managed service providers for compliance with contracts and best practices.
• Coordinate technical acceptance of new satellites, gateways, payloads and providers.
• Serve as single point of contact for commercial inquiries and own L0/L1 performance metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in satellite operations, network operations centre or security operations centre environments.
• Proven ability to manage incidents, problems and changes in a complex technical environment.
• Strong coordination skills with internal teams and external service providers.
