Scheduler - EPC Projects

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, energy transition and industrial sectors, is hiring a Scheduler in Dammam. The role covers scheduling and cost control on engineering and construction projects, working with project and maintenance teams on work breakdown structures, progress measurement and project control.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse subcontractor progress reports to check compliance with project schedules.
• Conduct monthly delay analysis and prepare detailed reports on schedule deviations.
• Identify risks affecting timelines and recommend mitigation strategies, and maintain the project delay register.
• Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve scheduling conflicts and help develop recovery plans.
• Keep project schedules aligned with contract requirements and company objectives.
• Use scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project to monitor and update schedules.
• Support claims and extension of time (EOT) assessments, and generate progress and forecast reports for management.

Required profile

• 5 years of experience as a Scheduler for EPC projects in the MENA region and/or elsewhere.
• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering major preferred.
• Ability to analyse procedures needed to investigate contractual issues, such as delay analysis and entitlement to claims.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 skills.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of WBS, earn value method, scope management and change control.
