Secondary Physics Teacher

About the role

EDVECTUS LTD is seeking an experienced Secondary Physics Teacher to join its gender‑segregated international school in Jeddah. The role involves delivering IGCSE Combined/Coordinated Science and Physics, as well as supporting IB DP or A Level courses for Years 6‑12.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE and, where applicable, IB Diploma Programme.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and support personalised learning through the KED programme.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and maintain a high standard of academic excellence.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related subject plus a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, etc.).
• Minimum four years of teaching experience in secondary education, preferably with IGCSE and/or IB curricula.
• Eligibility to teach in the UK, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
• Commitment to the school’s ethos of academic excellence and cultural respect.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Cambridge/UK secondary science curricula.
• Experience delivering IGCSE Physics and familiarity with IB Diploma Programme content.
