Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The role involves managing core accounting processes, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and record purchase and service transactions and related expenses in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Manage and reconcile petty cash, vendor, and bank accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare, review, and maintain employee payroll, benefits provisions, and related accounting entries.
• Prepare and monitor monthly expense accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review and post daily general ledger transactions and journal entries.
• Oversee accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, analyses, and variance investigations.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Prepare and review monthly VAT and withholding tax reports and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Maintain fixed asset transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare periodic financial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a medium to large organization.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
