Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Business Services & Outsourcing (BSO) department. The role will support accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal control activities for a growing client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, including payments, record keeping and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll records.
• Support monthly and annual closing and draft statutory financial statements.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for auditors and Zakat consultants.
• Coordinate VAT and Withholding Tax requirements with tax consultants.
• Develop and document accounting processes and internal controls.
• Ensure proper financial control over vendor, supplier and employee payments.
• Work with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage, SAP or Oracle.
• Assist in proposal preparation, business development and client acquisition for the BSO department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Very good knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
• Good understanding of Saudi tax requirements and accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication, analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate with and guide diverse teams.
• Professional certification (CMA, ACCA, CPA or similar) preferred.
• Experience in a reputable accounting, audit or professional services firm preferred.
• Arabic and English proficiency required.
