Senior Backend Developer - Microservices

About the role

InnovationTeam, a technology company delivering solutions to diverse markets, is looking for a Senior Backend Developer focused on microservices architecture. The developer designs and implements robust microservices, works with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions and follows best practices in software development.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in every phase of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Work closely with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Refactor code and optimize performance of existing applications.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on backend technologies.
• Solid microservices experience: at least two delivered projects, and at least three products built on a microservices architecture that have been deployed to production (containerized, CI/CD-enabled, with observability).
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Java, Python or Node.js.
• RESTful APIs and scalable web services.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and event-driven architecture.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Nice to have: cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Agile and DevOps, open-source contributions or technical blogs.
