Senior Coding Specialist

About the role

Dallah Healthcare is seeking a Senior Coding Specialist to ensure accurate and timely medical coding across inpatient, day‑surgery, and outpatient services. The role supports revenue cycle efficiency, compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH) coding standards, and continuous improvement of coding processes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assign ICD‑10‑AM/ICD‑11 diagnosis and procedure codes following MOH guidelines.
• Sequence codes correctly and meet billing deadlines for all encounter types.
• Identify documentation gaps, query physicians, and collaborate with Clinical Documentation Improvement staff.
• Conduct self‑checks, internal audits, and support audit‑driven corrective actions.
• Work with billing and revenue‑cycle teams to resolve coding‑related denials.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to junior coders and trainees.
• Participate in coding workshops, share expertise on complex cases, and stay current with coding rule updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months of professional medical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of MOH coding standards, ICD‑10‑AM and ICD‑11.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
• Experience in conducting coding audits and supporting revenue‑cycle processes.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and policy adherence.
