Senior Design Mechanical Engineer (Jeddah)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Mechanical Engineer to lead the preparation of specifications, coordinate design reviews and manage design work for large thermal power projects in Jeddah. The role involves close interaction with contractors, consultants and internal disciplines to ensure engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed specifications for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate design review processes with contractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Manage design work execution and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Facilitate internal coordination across multiple engineering disciplines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large thermal power plant projects.
• Proven experience in EPC design review, including MDL, design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, GA and HMBD.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and proficiency with design software.

Required skills

• CFD modeling and analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MIS tools.
• Review of PFDs, P&IDs, General Arrangement and Heat‑Mass‑Balance diagrams.
• Hazop/Hazid/SIL risk assessment and mitigation.
• Experience with FAT procedures and construction/commissioning documentation.
