Senior Director, Equestrian Racecourse Asset Management

About the role

The Executive Director will lead the owner‑side strategy for Qiddiya’s flagship equestrian racecourse, shaping the operating platform, protecting long‑term value and positioning the asset for successful mobilisation and sustained performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the asset‑management strategy, commercial frameworks and operating principles for race days, events, training, hospitality and ancillary uses.
• Support operator selection, challenge business plans and ensure QIC retains decision‑making authority over key commercial, customer and brand levers.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, third‑party operators, advisors, governing bodies, event promoters and commercial partners.
• Integrate asset‑management requirements across development, strategy, finance and operational readiness to guide design, mobilisation and pre‑opening.
• Oversee operator performance against contractual obligations, KPIs, SLAs and QIC strategic objectives; monitor revenue, profitability, utilisation, attendance, customer experience, equine welfare, safety and compliance.
• Review and challenge operator budgets and forecasts, drive sustainable revenue growth, EBITDA delivery and efficient asset utilisation.
• Analyse operating data to identify upside opportunities, performance risks and value‑enhancement initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in asset management, preferably within sports, hospitality or large‑scale venue environments.
• Strong strategic, financial and commercial acumen with a track record of driving value creation.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience overseeing performance monitoring, KPI management and contractual governance.
