Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will ensure accurate processing, recording, and reconciliation of all accounting transactions in line with company policies. This position supports the finance team by maintaining the integrity of financial data and contributing to timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review, input, and control daily entries and transactions, ensuring proper classification of supporting documents.
• Handle, process, and track payments based on internal approvals using agreed payment methods.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts, including accounts payable, receivable, prepaid, and accrued expenses.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements according to legal and company guidelines.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings within set deadlines.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns in accordance with local legislation.
• Oversee daily management and inventory of fixed assets.
• Maintain an organized archive system and reconcile petty cash.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
