Senior Engineer - Roads

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer – Roads to lead the design and delivery of high‑impact road infrastructure projects in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. You will shape the region’s transportation landscape by integrating road networks with complex urban and high‑rise developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive engineering design for large‑scale urban master‑plan projects, from feasibility studies through construction support and contract administration.
• Direct integration of road infrastructure with high‑rise and other urban systems, ensuring seamless coordination across all phases.
• Manage design packages for complex highway schemes and urban transportation networks, meeting quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct road design and drainage modelling to solve engineering challenges in dense urban environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structures, environment, utilities, high‑rise) to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to clients, government authorities, and stakeholders throughout design and statutory approval processes under Saudi regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian road design standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale urban master‑plan and road infrastructure projects.
• Detail‑oriented professional with a strong track record on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage design packages, budgets, and schedules effectively.
