Senior Facility Management Engineer - Landscape & Green Infrastructure

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is looking for a Senior Facility Management Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role oversees the planning, coordination and execution of landscape and green infrastructure operations and maintenance across its properties, leading a team of maintenance professionals while ensuring optimal performance, safety compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily landscape and green infrastructure operations, including irrigation systems, pumping stations and mechanical equipment.
• Manage tree care and arboriculture programs, including pruning, health monitoring, pest management and seasonal treatments.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules for landscape features, irrigation networks and pumping stations.
• Manage facility budgets, analyse operational costs and identify cost optimisation and water efficiency improvements.
• Lead, supervise and mentor landscape maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring safety standards and quality benchmarks.
• Inspect landscape and irrigation systems regularly and coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, tree services, repairs and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, environmental standards and safety protocols.
• Use facility management software to track maintenance activities, equipment performance and work orders.
• Develop water management and sustainability strategies, prepare performance reports and handle emergency landscape and irrigation issues.

Required profile

• 10 to 15+ years of landscape O&M or grounds operations experience, with at least 8 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Leadership and team management experience with technicians and contractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
• Experience in large-scale environmental or urban development projects is preferred.

• Irrigation systems, pumping stations, water distribution networks and landscape mechanical equipment.
• Arboriculture, tree care, plant health management and horticultural maintenance.
• Facility management software and CMMS.
• Budget management, cost analysis and financial planning for landscape operations.
• Project management, including landscape capital improvement projects.

• Dashboard creation, presentations, snagging, site inspections and root-cause analysis.
