ICT/ELV Inspector (Airport Experience)

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm active in the Middle East, is looking for a highly skilled ICT/ELV Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The inspector ensures the safety, quality and compliance of ICT and ELV installations in airport infrastructure, overseeing inspection, testing and commissioning of ICT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of ICT and ELV installations, including structured cabling, racks, termination panels and active/passive components.
• Verify compliance with approved shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Ensure proper installation of systems such as CCTV, access control, public address, fire alarm, intrusion systems, A/V, IPTV, SAS and BMS/SCADA interfaces.
• Monitor workmanship and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Witness and document testing and commissioning, and coordinate functional tests and troubleshooting.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors and clients to resolve site issues and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain inspection logs and records, and take part in site coordination and progress meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience inspecting ICT/ELV systems on large-scale property or infrastructure projects.
• Aviation experience preferred; airport or similar large-scale construction experience highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.
• Professional certifications related to ICT systems are an advantage.

Required skills

• Structured cabling, networking and integrated systems.
• Familiarity with international ICT standards and airport facility regulations (ICAO, ACI, IEEE, ISO).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant inspection software.
