Senior Financial Controller

About the role

Assystem is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead project finance activities across its global energy‑transition portfolio. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, cost allocation and profitability analysis for complex engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project revenue, costs, margins and profitability against budgets and forecasts, highlighting risks and recommending corrective actions.
• Manage accruals, provisions and cost recognition to guarantee precise project financials.
• Lead complex cost‑allocation and inter‑company recharge processes, developing transparent methodologies and supporting audit documentation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and executive dashboards.
• Drive project forecasting, cost‑to‑complete calculations and margin projections, and track key performance indicators such as backlog, billing and resource utilization.
• Support budgeting and scenario analysis, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
• Strengthen internal controls, ensure compliance with governance standards and assist internal and external auditors.
• Partner with project managers and senior leaders, translating financial data into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in project financial control or finance within engineering, energy or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of cost allocation, inter‑company recharges and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data, identify risks and communicate findings to non‑financial stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
