Senior Front-End Engineer (React, SSR, Node.js)

About the role

InnovationTeam is looking for a highly experienced Senior Front-End Engineer with at least 10 years of professional experience in modern web application development. The role calls for deep expertise in JavaScript, React and modern front-end architectures, together with hands-on experience in Node.js and advanced Server-Side Rendering (SSR). Candidates must also be able to work with several server-side template engines such as Pug, EJS and Handlebars, depending on client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade web applications with JavaScript (ES6+) and React.
• Architect and implement SSR solutions with Next.js or custom Node.js rendering pipelines.
• Work with and adapt to various template engines (Pug, EJS, Handlebars, JSX-based rendering) according to client requirements.
• Design reusable, maintainable, high-performance UI component libraries.
• Develop and maintain backend services with Node.js when needed.
• Optimize rendering performance and ensure SEO and performance best practices in SSR applications.
• Collaborate with architects, backend teams, UI/UX designers and stakeholders, and take part in architectural decisions and roadmap planning.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in front-end development.
• Proven experience with multiple template engines and SSR frameworks, and with performance optimization in large-scale applications.

Required skills

• Expert JavaScript (ES6+) and advanced React (Hooks, Context API, state management).
• Node.js in full-stack or SSR environments, and a deep understanding of SSR, hydration, caching and rendering lifecycle.
• REST APIs and integration with backend services.
• Preferred: Next.js, TypeScript, Webpack, Vite, Babel, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise delivery experience.
