Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Design and build a secure, multi-tenant, bilingual platform that serves regulated enterprise and government clients. The stack spans Ruby on Rails with GraphQL on the backend and Next.js with React on the frontend, plus AI-driven features that run across both layers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services and a GraphQL API using Rails 8, PostgreSQL and graphql‑ruby.
• Implement the client‑side product surface with Next.js 16, React 19, server components and Apollo Client, using a typed GraphQL schema.
• Model complex IP‑lifecycle domains (patents, trademarks, renewals) and enforce row‑level multi‑tenant isolation with RBAC.
• Build AI‑backed capabilities such as document analysis, streaming chat and summaries via ActionCable, with quality guardrails.
• Integrate external systems including patent‑office APIs, SSO (SAML, OIDC), billing and document pipelines.
• Deliver a bilingual UI (English/Arabic) with right‑to‑left support using logical CSS and a shared design system.
• Own performance, reliability and security compliance (SSO/MFA, encryption, secure SDLC) aligned with NCA controls and PDPL.
• Set engineering standards, review code and mentor other engineers.

Required profile

• 8+ years of production software development for large‑scale enterprise or government platforms.
• Full‑stack ownership from database through API to rendered interface, with deep expertise on at least one side.
• Strong background in Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL design and background job processing (Sidekiq, Solid Queue).
• Proven experience with production‑grade React, TypeScript and Next.js App Router with server components.
• Extensive GraphQL experience on both server and client, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Track record of delivering multi‑tenant SaaS solutions under regulatory and availability constraints.
• Test‑driven development mindset; failing builds are treated as stop‑work conditions.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) while maintaining security and correctness.
