Senior Google Apigee X Developer & Administrator

About the role

An enterprise client is looking for a senior professional to design, implement, and administer a Google Apigee X API management platform on Google Cloud. The role involves building a secure, scalable, and highly available API ecosystem that connects cloud and on‑premises systems while enabling developer adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy Apigee X environments for Development, Test, and Production.
• Configure GCP landing zones, Cloud Identity, and user entitlements.
• Architect cloud networking to link cloud‑based and on‑premises applications.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain API proxies, policies, and integration workflows.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines to automate validation, testing, and deployment of APIs.
• Configure Google Application Integration and backend connectors.
• Implement API security, governance, and best‑practice standards.
• Onboard and manage the Integrated API Developer Portal.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to support integration needs.
• Create technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Google Apigee X and API management.
• Strong background in both Apigee development and platform administration.
• Proven experience configuring and managing GCP environments and cloud networking.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API deployments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment.
