Senior Group Exercise Manager

About the role

The Senior Group Exercise Manager leads the Group Exercise (GX) department across multiple clubs, ensuring world‑class fitness programs that boost member engagement, retention and satisfaction. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the GX strategy, oversee staff and drive operational excellence while upholding brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Group Exercise Managers and instructors across assigned locations.
• Recruit, train and mentor GX staff, set performance KPIs and conduct regular feedback sessions.
• Design and optimise class timetables to maximise attendance and revenue.
• Introduce new fitness programs and coordinate quarterly Les Mills or in‑house launches with marketing.
• Monitor class utilization, analyse member feedback and implement improvements.
• Prepare monthly performance, attendance and financial reports for senior management.
• Manage the GX budget, controlling payroll, equipment and licensing costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education or related field (preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in Group Exercise Management, including at least 2 years in a senior or regional role.
• Certification in multiple Les Mills or comparable group‑fitness programs.
• Proven track record in instructor development, class programming and multi‑site operations.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
