Senior IAM & Backend Engineer (Keycloak + Spring Boot)

About the role

InnovationTeam is hiring a Senior IAM & Backend Engineer in Riyadh. The role leads work on identity and access management, secure microservices development and CI/CD automation across cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate codes, integrates, automates and secures modern systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust and scalable Spring Boot microservices using Java 17+
• Design and implement secure IAM strategies with Keycloak (Red Hat SSO), including realm and client configuration, user management, MFA, RBAC and federated identity providers (LDAP, Azure AD)
• Configure protocol mappers, custom authenticators and token customization (OIDC, JWT, SAML)
• Integrate Keycloak into enterprise applications and CI/CD pipelines, and automate deployments with tools such as GitLab, Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Deploy and manage services in Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Apply best practices in security, performance and observability

Required profile

• Strong Java (17+) and Spring Boot experience
• Java microservices architecture
• Hands-on and architectural Keycloak or Red Hat SSO experience
• Proven ability to build secure REST APIs with OAuth2, OIDC and JWT
• Ability to design, configure and troubleshoot Keycloak realms, clients, flows and policies
• Experience integrating Keycloak with external IdPs, LDAP and social logins

Required skills

• CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Linux, Bash scripting and infrastructure automation tools
• Nice to have: Istio, service mesh or API gateways, zero-trust patterns, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
