Senior IT Applications Specialist – SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Applications Specialist to support, maintain, and optimise SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud within our organisation. The role focuses on business support, user engagement, incident resolution and continuous improvement for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day functional and application support for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Act as the primary point of contact for business users on application issues and enhancements.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve system incidents, service requests and process‑related problems.
• Coordinate with SAP AMS vendors and external service providers to ensure timely ticket resolution and change implementation.
• Gather, document and validate business requirements; participate in Fit‑to‑Standard workshops, testing and release activities.
• Support bi‑annual cloud releases, regression testing and user communication.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.
• Deliver user training sessions and promote adoption of new processes and functionalities.
• Monitor application performance and recommend process improvements.
• Support integrations with other enterprise applications and third‑party systems while ensuring compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity and change‑management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, including at least 2 years on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Mandatory experience working directly for an end‑user/customer organisation.
• Proven background in business application support and end‑user engagement.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and application lifecycle support.
• Experience managing AMS providers, support tickets and change requests.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
