Senior Legal Counsel – Energy Sector (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join Siemens Energy’s Gas Services Business in Saudi Arabia. The role supports contract execution, procurement and compliance activities across the Middle East, helping drive innovation and the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional and global teams to review, comment on and negotiate supply and service contracts.
• Provide legal advice on commercial, trade and contract matters related to equipment supply, services and procurement agreements.
• Support project execution and proactive claim management for major projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Contribute to contract standardisation, process improvement and alignment with the global Legal and Compliance community.
• Advise management on compliance topics such as anti‑corruption, AML, antitrust, data privacy, export control and human rights.
• Manage compliance due‑diligence, business partner reviews, gifts and hospitality assessments, and develop training programmes for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in the legal department of an international company or law firm, focusing on international projects.
• Proven ability to manage legal risks in complex transactions, contract negotiations and claim management.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi civil, commercial, energy and infrastructure law, regulatory compliance and government tender procedures.
• Strong negotiation skills, customer‑oriented mindset and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Team player capable of working in an international environment and handling multiple demands.
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.
