Senior LiveKit & WebRTC Engineer (Principal Software Engineer)

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with deep expertise in Angular, Spring Boot, LiveKit, and WebRTC to lead the evolution of enterprise‑grade real‑time communication products. This senior individual contributor will drive technical excellence, mentor peers, and shape architecture without formal people‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across frontend, backend, and real‑time communication systems.
• Design and improve LiveKit and WebRTC platforms, handling rooms, participants, media tracks, permissions, and session lifecycle.
• Drive architectural enhancements for scalability, security, observability, and operational resilience.
• Mentor teams through code reviews, coaching, and best‑practice enforcement.
• Optimize latency, bandwidth efficiency, and reliability in production environments.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience building and operating scalable real‑time communication platforms.
• Proven ability to work with legacy codebases, reduce technical debt, and improve engineering quality.
• Excellent judgment in balancing delivery speed with long‑term maintainability.
