Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead piping design and engineering for large‑scale water transmission pipeline projects in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for the full technical lifecycle, from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare piping specifications, datasheets, bills of material and basic layout drawings for water transmission lines.
• Select pipe materials and review pipe sizing, hydraulic, transient and stress analyses.
• Evaluate tenders, vendor offers and technical submissions, and produce clarification reports.
• Review engineering drawings and documents related to piping systems.
• Provide technical support to utilities, plant owners, project developers, banks and government agencies pre‑ and post‑financial close.
• Assist the iCRC group team leader in planning resources and tasks.
• Attend project, factory acceptance and team meetings, and report site progress to the project manager.

Required profile

• Senior‑level mechanical engineer with extensive experience in water transmission pipeline projects.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of international piping standards and best practices.
