Senior Operations Engineer – Airport Facility Management

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Operations Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of airport facilities. The role ensures that all services are delivered within contract scope, complies with aviation regulations and supports continuous improvement across preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Review contract SOW, define project boundaries and coordinate with subcontractors to avoid disputes.
• Attend client and stakeholder meetings, document agreements and monitor implementation by project teams.
• Support winning additional work and spare‑part proposals, ensuring technical scope and timely submission.
• Lead preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities and implement SOPs and best practices.
• Ensure all subcontractor actions meet airport compliance (ICAO, GACA) and monitor progress.
• Maintain 24/7 availability of spares, material and consumables within the site store.
• Manage CAFM data, track tasks in Maximo and report operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute business continuity plans for aerodrome facility management.
• Conduct audits and assessments of O&M activities to sustain optimal performance.
• Coordinate with airport safety and security teams to ensure protocol integration.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly internal and external reports.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in airport or large‑scale facility maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of aviation standards such as ICAO and GACA.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to evaluate risks and drive continuous improvement.
