Senior Product Specialist – Rare Disease (Eastern Region)

About the role

AstraZeneca is building its position as a Rare Disease leader in Saudi Arabia. The Senior Product Specialist will work in the Eastern region, generating clinical demand for rare disease medicines, identifying new patient opportunities, and fostering strategic relationships with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) to promote the value proposition of rare disease medicines.
• Identify and develop new patient and therapy targets.
• Present scientific and commercial value propositions and recommend patient‑centric solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with Key External Experts (KEE) and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the Franchise Head and Sales Manager to adapt and execute the account‑management strategy for the local market.
• Provide market insights and proactively identify business opportunities.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical commercial roles, preferably within rare diseases.
• Strong scientific understanding of rare disease therapeutic areas.
• Proven ability to engage and influence HCPs and key opinion leaders.
• Agile, visionary mindset with a passion for shaping healthcare in Saudi Arabia.
