Senior Roads Engineer – Full-time

About the role

ARX is expanding its presence in the GCC and seeks a Senior Roads Engineer to join its Riyadh office. You will lead the design and delivery of road and highway projects, ensuring they meet local standards and the company’s high technical quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and supervise road and highway works for diverse infrastructure programmes.
• Perform and review road geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, and pavement design.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate road systems into overall project designs.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans and documentation.
• Review technical deliverables from engineers, designers and BIM/CAD teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support multidisciplinary coordination.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients and stakeholders to satisfy project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, focusing on roads and highways.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Proven ability to lead complex road design tasks and mentor junior staff.

Required skills

• Road geometry and alignment (horizontal & vertical).
• Grading and pavement design.
• BIM/CAD modelling and review.
• Traffic and engineering analysis for road systems.
• Knowledge of Saudi road design standards and regulations.
