Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead is a full‑time, on‑site position in Jeddah. You will lead the design, development and maintenance of software systems that support HL Gulf’s airfield services and operational platforms, overseeing back‑end architecture, code quality and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Mentor software engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and enforce best‑practice development standards.
• Design, build and maintain robust, scalable back‑end services and APIs.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise system performance.
• Contribute to strategic technology roadmaps aligned with safety and compliance goals.
• Oversee back‑end architecture, set technical standards and guide implementation of secure solutions.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures and software architecture principles.
• Proficiency in back‑end web development and building scalable services/APIs.
• Advanced programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, C# or Python.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, providing technical mentorship and conducting code reviews.
• Experience with databases, cloud or on‑premise infrastructure, integration technologies and software security best practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
