Senior Software Quality Engineer

About the role

Adree is looking for a senior, hands‑on quality engineer to lead functional, integration, API, mobile, regression and automation testing across its software portfolio. You will translate business and technical requirements into risk‑based test coverage, maintain robust test assets, and support CI/CD quality gates while coaching junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Review business, functional, integration and technical requirements to identify gaps, risks and testability concerns.
• Create and maintain test conditions, scenarios, detailed test cases, traceability matrices, test data and entry/exit criteria.
• Execute functional, exploratory, usability, compatibility, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity and pre‑release testing.
• Test REST/SOAP APIs, validate payloads, business rules and perform database checks.
• Validate mobile applications on Android and iOS devices and configurations.
• Design, develop and maintain automated UI, API, end‑to‑end and regression tests using the approved automation framework.
• Integrate automated suites with source control and delivery pipelines, analyse failures and improve stability.
• Use service virtualization or mocks for dependent services.
• Log high‑quality defects, lead retesting and defect triage.
• Maintain test plans, dashboards, evidence and reports in the test‑management system.
• Support release risk assessment, quality status reporting and go/no‑go decisions.
• Coach junior engineers, review their test cases and defects, and share knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on software testing experience across web, API/integration and preferably mobile applications.
• Strong test‑analysis, test‑design, exploratory‑testing and regression‑testing skills.
• Professional English communication; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize risk and communicate blockers early.
