Senior Structural Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Designer to lead the design of steel and concrete structures for oil & gas and petro‑chemical projects. The role involves independent technical decision‑making, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering robust solutions that meet complex project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute structural design activities while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Evaluate, select and adapt engineering techniques and procedures for challenging design scenarios.
• Develop detailed models of pipe racks, equipment support structures, concrete foundations, grade and underground utilities using SP3D and MicroStation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineers.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction teams and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure constructability.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil & gas or petro‑chemical industry.
• Proven ability to handle complex structural design problems and coordinate large‑scale projects.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• SP3D (SmartPlant 3D) modeling.
• MicroStation drafting.
• Structural steel design and modeling (pipe racks, equipment supports).
• Concrete foundation design.
• Design of grade and underground utility systems.
