Shift Engineer – Maintenance (Madinah)

About the role

The Shift Engineer provides on‑site technical support for guest rooms and hotel facilities in Madinah. Working on a rotating shift, you will respond quickly to maintenance requests, ensure preventive upkeep, and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines; carry necessary tools and radios.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies.
• Report daily activities and issues to the next shift using approved communication standards.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall, wood‑trim repair and cleanup.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and kitchen equipment.
• Program televisions, perform housekeeping‑related inventory duties and use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings via computer.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and carpentry.
• Ability to acquire additional technical knowledge on the job.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to safety and security policies.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
