Shift Supervisor (Food Service)

About the role

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading the store team during assigned shifts, ensuring that guests receive an exceptional experience while maintaining high standards of product quality, cleanliness, and safety. This operational role requires hands‑on leadership, quick decision‑making, and the ability to motivate team members to meet performance goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach team members, providing clear direction and fostering a fun, engaging work environment.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve service complaints promptly, turning challenges into positive outcomes.
• Enforce Tim Hortons operating standards, including product merchandising, stock management, and food safety policies.
• Manage shift cash procedures, count tills, and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Maintain operational efficiency by supervising task completion, adhering to break and meal policies, and completing shift documentation.
• Support the Store Manager in driving sales, optimizing team coverage, and handling busy periods through floor leadership.
• Monitor health and safety practices, report incidents, and ensure the use of personal protective equipment as required.
