Shipping Specialist

About the role

The Shipping Specialist manages and follows up on local and international shipping operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of shipments. The role coordinates with suppliers, shipping companies, warehouses, and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on local and international shipments from suppliers until delivery to the warehouse.
• Coordinate with suppliers, shipping companies, and freight forwarders to ensure timely shipments.
• Track shipment schedules, departure and arrival dates, and maintain accurate shipment updates.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth receiving and accurate shipment quantities.
• Handle shipment delays and operational issues with relevant parties.
• Update shipment information and status in the ERP system.
• Monitor shipping costs, quotations, and invoices.
• Follow up on customs clearance and shipping requirements when required.
• Prepare regular reports on shipment status, delays, costs, and operational issues.
• Monitor the performance of shipping companies and service providers.
• Maintain accurate and organized shipping records.
• Support improvements in shipping efficiency, lead time, and operational costs.
