Site Inspector – Roads & Bridges (Saudi National)

About the role

Euro Group for Engineering Consultancy is looking for a Saudi‑national Site Inspector to join the supervision team on the Jeddah Islamic Port Project for the Ministry of Transport & Logistics. The role involves daily on‑site supervision, inspection and quality control of road and bridge works, ensuring they meet project specifications, MOT standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise construction activities for roads and bridges, verifying compliance with approved drawings, specifications and MOT standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections, prepare inspection reports, checklists and photographic records.
• Check that materials and workmanship satisfy quality, safety and contractual requirements.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, ITPs and material submittals from contractors.
• Report non‑conformances, safety violations or design deviations to the Resident Engineer or Site Engineer.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and client representatives to resolve technical and site issues.
• Track progress of works and contribute to progress reports and site meetings.
• Ensure implementation of health, safety and environmental requirements on site.
• Support testing and commissioning activities for road and bridge elements as required.

Required profile

• Saudi national (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising and executing road and bridge construction projects.
• Previous experience on Ministry of Transport & Logistics projects or similar government authorities is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MOT standards, specifications and construction practices for highways, pavements and bridge structures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and site inspection processes.
• Good communication and reporting skills in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.
