Site Manager – Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the on‑site construction of high‑voltage Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects. The role requires a strong background in power‑sector infrastructure, the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, and a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all construction phases, from Right of Way access and route alignment to foundation works, tower erection, conductor stringing, and sagging.
• Oversee daily site operations and coordinate engineers, supervisors, linemen, riggers, and equipment operators.
• Plan and optimise the use of heavy machinery such as cranes, tensioners, and puller machines, ensuring material availability.
• Ensure compliance with approved Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans, and client‑specific grid standards.
• Act as the primary site representative, liaising with clients/consultants (e.g., SEC), local authorities, and head office.
• Enforce strict HSE standards, especially for high‑risk activities like working at heights and heavy lifting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in EHV OHTL construction and commissioning (132 kV, 230 kV, or 380 kV).
• Proven track record delivering projects in the GCC, preferably with Saudi Electricity Company approval.

Required skills

• Technical drawing interpretation.
• Coordination of heavy machinery (cranes, tensioners, puller machines).
• Expertise in EHV OHTL construction and commissioning processes.
