HVAC Engineer – Projects & Execution

About the role

DAAD Global LLC is looking for a technically strong HVAC Engineer to lead the execution of HVAC projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role covers the full project lifecycle from design review through testing, commissioning and hand‑over, ensuring delivery on time, to specification and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review HVAC drawings, specifications and BOQs, verify heat‑load calculations, equipment selection and duct/pipe sizing using AutoCAD, and propose value‑engineering alternatives.
• Prepare and manage material submittals, technical data sheets, shop drawings and as‑built drawings, tracking approvals in a live submittal log.
• Support procurement by preparing take‑offs, comparing supplier quotations and coordinating deliveries of VRF, chillers, packaged units, ducting and insulation.
• Plan site execution, set weekly targets for the HVAC Supervisor, coordinate with civil, electrical and plumbing trades, conduct inspections and control variations.
• Supervise pressure, vacuum and air‑balancing tests, oversee system commissioning, and prepare T&C reports, O&M manuals and hand‑over documents.
• Prepare monthly progress reports, track actual costs against budget and submit weekly structured reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of HVAC execution experience with hands‑on work on VRF, split/ducted, packaged and chilled‑water systems.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE and SMACNA standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
