Site Planning Engineer – Riyadh

About the role

The Planning Engineer is a key member of the supervision services team, supporting the Senior Planning Engineer and Associate Project Managers with schedule and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves reviewing contractors’ work programs, monitoring daily activities, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and check the contractor’s work program during the pre‑construction phase to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in monitoring supervision project schedules, investigate reasons for delays, and recommend corrective measures.
• Support the Senior Planning Engineer in reviewing contractors’ submittals, including staffing proposals, shop drawings, method statements, and traffic management plans.
• Provide input to the Associate Project Manager on risk management plans, unit‑rate reviews, and the preparation of take‑over and defect liability certificates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in architecture, engineering and planning, preferably with a top‑tier regional or multinational consultancy.
• Experience working on construction projects in the Middle East.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, time‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling and planning software (e.g., Primavera).
• Fluent spoken and written Arabic.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
