Social Media Director

About the role

The Social Media Director will lead the development and execution of social media campaigns that acquire target audiences and support the brand’s business objectives. This role works across the client’s full social media portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the agency point‑of‑view on how Social and Mobile drive brand marketing efforts.
• Provide direction and insights to guide social media and integrated marketing communications plans.
• Stay current on social media trends, experiment with new tactics, and recommend tools and approaches.
• Align internal teams, client stakeholders, and partner agencies to deliver cohesive social marketing solutions.
• Oversee production of high‑quality social media work and ensure it meets agency standards.
• Identify common themes across projects to efficiently address new challenges.
• Offer expertise on major brand campaigns to optimize them for social and mobile.
• Lead the growth and development of the multidisciplinary social team, providing feedback and coaching.

Required profile

• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• 8+ years of experience in social media or related fields.
• Excellent writing, presentation development, and presentation skills for internal and client stakeholders.
• Proven ability to craft insightful creative briefs that inspire teams.
• Flexibility and agility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Deep knowledge of traditional and digital/social campaign development, implementation, and sentiment tracking.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of current and emerging trends in the digital and social media space.
• Ability to analyze data to unlock insights for memorable and effective social content.
