Software Engineer – Football Analytics Dashboard

About the role

Al-Qadsiah Club is looking for a Software Engineer to build and maintain an in‑house dashboard that powers football analytics for the First Team and Academy. You will work at the intersection of sport and technology, helping the club make data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a full‑stack dashboard for football analytics.
• Create user‑friendly front‑end interfaces and improve usability based on stakeholder feedback.
• Build and optimise data pipelines using Python and SQL, integrating multiple data sources.
• Manage and tune MySQL/PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability.
• Deploy, monitor, and secure cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, BigQuery, and networking.
• Handle containerisation with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with analysts, coaches, and technical staff, translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work in a fast‑paced football environment.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.
