Sr. Engineer Theming (Fit-Out)

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Theming (Fit‑Out) will lead the execution of interior fit‑out and architectural finishing packages for large‑scale themed projects. The role involves planning, coordinating specialist subcontractors, and ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day execution of theming, interior fit‑out and architectural finishing packages.
• Develop work plans, construction sequences, manpower plans and short‑term targets aligned with the project programme.
• Manage specialist subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors and engineers, monitoring progress, productivity, quality and safety.
• Coordinate themed elements such as scenic finishes, façades, props, faux rockwork and specialist fabricated items.
• Oversee fit‑out works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, doors and decorative features.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, MEP and other project teams to resolve site interfaces.
• Review drawings, material submissions, method statements, samples and mock‑ups with technical and quality teams before site execution.
• Manage fabrication, deliveries, site installation, inspections, snagging and final handover of assigned packages.
• Identify design gaps, access constraints, procurement delays and other site risks early and agree practical solutions.
• Track quantities, progress, variations and subcontractor performance, supporting commercial and planning teams with accurate site information.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong experience managing site execution of fit‑out, architectural finishes or theming works on large, complex projects.
• Direct experience delivering themed entertainment, attractions, theme parks or similar hospitality/leisure projects is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple specialist subcontractors and coordinate their work with structural and MEP packages.
• Experience taking a package through planning, procurement coordination, installation, inspection, snagging and handover.
• Good working knowledge of shop drawings, material approvals, mock‑ups, RFIs, site inspections, progress reporting and variation records.
• Ability to lead site teams and solve practical construction and interface issues under programme pressure.
