Staff Manufacturing Engineer – Server Hardware Testing

About the role

Join Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group as a Staff Manufacturing Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping server hardware testing. You will lead process optimization, introduce advanced testing technologies, and uphold top‑quality standards for enterprise solutions in a global, cross‑functional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize assembly process workflows, including the creation and validation of fixtures and tooling, and maintain comprehensive process documentation.
• Participate in new product trial builds, troubleshoot functional and structural issues during pilot runs, and generate detailed issue reports.
• Rapidly resolve technical problems on the production line using root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead or support continuous‑improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Product Development teams to ensure effective implementation of process requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering; experience in server, PC, notebook, or consumer‑electronics assembly is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly tolerance analysis and the ability to independently design fixtures.
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as CAD and SolidWorks.
