Steam Boiler Operator

About the role

ABIS is looking for an experienced Steam Boiler Operator to manage and run steam boilers in its industrial facilities. The operator ensures safe and efficient boiler operation, carries out routine inspections, monitors system parameters and performs maintenance to prevent downtime. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor steam boilers to ensure efficient functioning and safety compliance.
• Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance of boiler systems and associated equipment.
• Adjust boiler controls and valves to keep steam pressure and temperature at the right levels.
• Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities and incidents.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies for boiler operation.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams on repairs and improvements.

Required profile

• Relevant certification or licence as a Steam Boiler Operator.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining steam boilers in industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of boiler systems, safety protocols and operational standards.
• Ability to carry out inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
