Steward – Luxury Hotel Operations

About the role

The Steward supports daily operations of the Stewarding Department in a luxury hotel, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene meet Rosewood brand and ultra‑luxury standards. Working across kitchens, restaurants, bars, and event spaces, the role guarantees that all equipment and utensils are clean, organized, and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain stewarding operations in line with Rosewood, Forbes, LQA, HACCP and local health regulations.
• Clean, sanitize and polish crockery, cutlery, glassware, cookware and kitchen utensils.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently to support continuous hotel service.
• Store operating equipment correctly and keep it in excellent condition.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchens, restaurants, bars, meeting & event areas and all back‑of‑house facilities.
• Execute daily cleaning schedules and assigned deep‑cleaning tasks.
• Sanitize all food‑contact surfaces according to established procedures.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables following hotel and environmental standards.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment for meetings, events and other operational needs.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues or hygiene concerns immediately.
• Maintain sufficient clean operating equipment throughout all service periods.
• Follow instructions from the Stewarding Team Leader and Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Commitment to departmental training and continuous improvement.

Required skills
