Steward Supervisor – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Steward Supervisor leads the steward team in a busy food‑and‑beverage environment, ensuring efficient clean‑up, proper sanitation, and smooth banquet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to improve clean‑up efficiency, monitor water temperature and chemical levels, and operate dish‑washing equipment.
• Support banquet and buffet operations by transporting stock, assisting with plate‑ups, and returning cleaned items to proper locations.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks, provide needed items, and maintain cleaning tools.
• Help management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, uniform standards and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of proper water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning.
• Ability to operate dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods and move on uneven surfaces.
