Stockist – Warehouse & Inventory Specialist

About the role

The Stockist works closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and organization of merchandise. This position is essential for maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting outstanding customer service through effective product placement.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, count, and record stock items using computer systems.
• Manage all shipments, transfers, and consignments, including packing and unpacking.
• Verify inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• Organize stock in warehouses, tool rooms, and supply areas using clear labeling.
• Conduct regular deep cleaning of the warehouse and ensure safety compliance.
• Inspect items for wear or defects and report any damage.
• Coordinate with couriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Prepare reports on inventories, shortages, shipments, and expenditures.
• Maintain supply levels by reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and requisitions.
• Handle defective or obsolete stock, including disposal or return to vendors.

Required profile

• Strong mathematical ability and basic accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency with computer applications for inventory tracking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
