Structural Design Review Engineer (Civil)

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is hiring a Structural Design Review Engineer (Civil) in Riyadh. The engineer performs structural analysis and design, reviews drawings and models, and supports the integration of structural work into overall engineering designs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design.
• Prepare and review structural drawings and Revit models.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural aspects into overall engineering designs.
• Provide technical support during construction, including resolving site issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and project requirements.
• Conduct structural inspections and assessments during different stages of the project.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals for structural components.
• Stay up to date with advances in structural engineering practice and software tools.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the line manager within the scope of work and project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Fluent English; Arabic is mandatory for the position.
• Strong experience in Revit (Structural).
• Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code (SBC); registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is preferred.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; immediate availability is preferred.
