Student Mentor – Cybersecurity Support

About the role

OffSec is looking for a Student Mentor to support its worldwide community of cybersecurity learners. The mentor will assist students through live chat, email, and exam grading, ensuring a high‑quality learning experience across all time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time assistance to students via the OffSec Community Platform, live chat and support email.
• Present live streams or webinars for concept demonstrations, machine walkthroughs, and cybersecurity topics.
• Grade certification exams and evaluate student submissions.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot lab systems, vulnerable machines and network connectivity.
• Contribute to curriculum design, test lab creation, wiki documentation and tool implementation.
• Review accommodation requests and maintain related records.
• Support cross‑functional projects and occasional travel to customer sites or conferences.

Required profile

• OSCP certification.
• Strong cybersecurity mindset with creative problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Minimum 3 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years with server‑side technologies.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting Linux and Windows environments.
